The recycling process starts once the vessel is beached. Obtain Oil and chemical removal permission from Gujarat Maritime Board. Then after GPCB inspect the ship and issue permission for clearance done of Oil and chemicals. Owner of the ship applies and obtain cutting permission from Gujarat Maritime Board. Once permission is obtained from GMB recycling process starts with specialised personnels and working staff are assigned specific task on board the vessel in order to safely accomplish the recycling process.
